They’re not righteous, they’re wrongteous! Hook up with Finn and Jake as they travel the Land of Ooo searching for adventure. But remember, adventure isn’t always easy. Sometimes you’ve got to battle fire gnomes that torture old ladies, save a smelly hot dog princess from the Ice King, and thaw out a bunch of frozen business men. What the cabbage?! Get ready for some seriously unserious adventure in the first season of Adventure Time!Adventure Time is an American animated television series created by Pendleton Ward (a former writer and storyboard artist of Bravest warriors) and produced by Frederator Studios for Cartoon Network. The series follows the adventures of Finn, a boy of 12 years at the start of the series (but 14 at the current season) whose best friend is Jake, a dog with magical powers such as growing and shrinking or stretching into many shapes.

Finn and Jake live in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo. Ward describes Finn as a "fiery little kid with strong morals," while Jake is based on Tripper Harrison, Bill Murray's character in the movie Meatballs.

The series is based on a short produced for Frederator's Nickelodeon animation incubator series Random! Cartoons. After the short became a viral hit on the Internet, Cartoon Network picked it up for a full-length series that had a preview on March 11, 2010 and officially premiered on April 5, 2010.The series has been a critical and commercial success.[3] This series is rated TV-PG.

The show is set in a fictional continent called the "Land of Ooo" and,[5] takes place in a post-apocalyptic world some time after a nuclear war called the "Great Mushroom War." According to Ward, the show takes place "after the bombs have fallen and magic has come back into the world".[6] During a presentation at the Toronto Comics and Arts Festival, Ward said that this will likely never be directly addressed in the series.

There used to be a human civilization that existed prior to the world that is familiar to Finn and Jake.

The first two seconds of the opening credits show nuclear bombs, melee weapons (such as swords and axes), abandoned human items (such as a TV set, headphones, cassette and video tapes) are scattered everywhere. There is even a skull on the ground.

"It's Adventure Time! C'mon grab your friends. We'll go to very distant lands. With Jake the Dog and Finn the Human the fun will never end. It's Adventure Time!" Adventure Time was an animated short made by Pen Ward and his team a few years back. The short was full of comedy, off the wall jokes, chocked full of hilarious one-liners and even an entertaining fight scene. And now, years later it is a full blown television series. The only thing people were concerned about was that the adaption could never live up to the original.

Well I'm here to say it has. In. Every. Aspect.

The only thing different is the characters and world have been expanded upon, and Penn's name is now Finn.

Adventure Time with Finn and Jake is Cartoon Network's newest cartoon. Similarly to the pilot, it is full to the brim with humor (some which is directly aimed at the adult audience, THANK GOD) There are still many one liners (most of which have been stolen from the pilot but I'm hoping that as the series goes on this will diminish. The music isn't very memorable, but it isn't supposed to be. It's a show about Finn, Jake and all of their friends and the stupid situations they find themselves in.
