When we last saw the Real Housewives of New York City at their reunion, things had taken such a vicious turn that Andy Cohen actually had to scream “shut the f-ck up!” Honestly, those reunions can be really hard to watch. I’ve always been curious, does Andy pop a Xanax before?
Well apparently I wasn’t the only one getting massive anxiety from watching the NY crew anymore, because execs decided the best options would be to ax originals Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, and Alex McCord and boring newbie Cindy Barshop. Barshop made a great business out of waxing hooha’s, but she didn’t make from very interesting television.
The new additions include designer Heather Thomson, writer Carole Radziwill, and socialite Aviva Drescher. We learn early on that Luann and Sonja have both dated Aviva’s ex. Heather and Ramona almost immediately butt heads.
Last season’s feud about Ramona’s accusations of Luann’s parenting still lives on and Ramona has refused to apologized. Honestly, I find nothing wrong with Luann’s parenting. If anything, I’d be mortified if my mother were wasted on TV all the time, making embarrassing comments, and rubbing my dad down in massage oil while draped in a negligee. Ramona have you met yourself!
I’m not even saying I’m the biggest Luann fan, because to be on one of the Housewives franchise you have to be somewhat crazy, but this is just a clear win for Luann. Scenes with Ramona have been giving me high anxiety lately.
The whole awkward conversation between her and Heather about who interrupts more was just like “oy enough already!” Also when Ramona lashed out at Sonja for referring to her ex husband as her husband was completely unnecessary.
I think its boring! I feel asleep 3/4 of the way through. I like the new girls but they should be on a higher class show. I liked it with the old cast and dont understand why they kept Sonja. She drinks too much, is in love with herself and from all the blogs Ive read most people wanted her and Ramona gone.
I will watch to give another review if nothing else is on. Love Atl, O.C and B.H More class! Bravo should replace NY with Miami or Jeff Lewis shows!
I think that these are the most shallow people that exist in the world, but I absolutely love this show. lol. It reminds me of some of my teachers for some of my music classes in college. I know lots of those kinds of people because I live in Connecticut so it's not uncommon for me. I could never be that self centered, it's quite atrocious. But overall, it's a really addicting show.
I watched it with my mom the other day and we just laughed about it for hours. I just watched the 5th season of the Gilmore Girls on DVD and Housewives is pretty much that show in reality form. The lady Alex is just like Emily. lol. I might actually follow this show. lol.
