Dundee United face a trip to St. Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on Saturday afternoon, having the edge over their hosts in previous meetings. The visitors have won 28 of the 73 previous games, with the hosts winning just 26.
The most recent encounter between these two sides at McDiarmid Park was less than a year ago, in April 2012, as the visitors ran out cosy 0-2 winners in a Scottish Premier match.
St Johnstone manager Steve Lomas : "It's going to be a decent game. It's a local derby and they will want to bounce back from Kilmarnock and we want to get off the mark with a win.
"I've been pleased with all the other performances, if not the points. We've got to keep looking at the performances and hopefully the results will kick in.
"Against Hibs and Motherwell I was more than happy with the performances and the boys didn't get what they deserved.
"I'm a firm believer that performances normally take care of results but in terms of the Hibs and Motherwell games, it probably hasn't done.
"We are hoping we can put a performance in for the fans and get the three points - it's as simple as that."
Dundee United manager Peter Houston : "They're normally open, enjoyable games with goal-scoring chances.
"Because it's a derby there will be a good atmosphere at McDiarmid Park and we'll take a good following as it's pretty nearby.
"It's got the makings of a good game and in many ways it's the right kind of game for us after what happened at Kilmarnock.
"I don't think there will be too many times this season when we have to do video analysis.
"But, since watching it again on Monday, the boys have had a good week in training so are raring to go again.
"I would have to say that, any time they've suffered a disappointment in the past, they've always shown the right response in the next game. They're an honest bunch of boys.
"So I'm hoping that's the case again because this is a derby game at a place where we've done fairly well in the past."
