Online Watch Covert Affairs Full Episode Watch Stream HD Video on Internet TV."Covert Affairs" centers on a young CIA trainee, Annie Walker (Piper Perabo), mysteriously summoned to headquarters for duty as field operative. While Annie believes she's been promoted for her exceptional linguistic skills, there may be something or someone from her past that her CIA bosses are really after. Christopher Gorham plays Auggie Anderson, a CIA military intelligence agent who was blinded while on assignment and is Annie's guide in this world of bureaucracy, excitement and intrigue. In this episode, called “Rock ‘n’ Roll Suicide,” I can tell you that the answer to that question is given to us very quickly. The good news is that you won’t have to wait long to find out whether or not Annie shoots Lena and repays the woman for all the awful things she’s done not only to Annie, but to her country as well. The bad news is that you will have to wait until the episode tonight to find out. Sorry, but I think that’s way too much of a spoiler to give away in an advance review.

Since USA has released an episode description and video that mentions a little of what happens after Annie leaves that cabin, I feel safe in talking about what I feel was Annie’s greatest challenge yet. Annie ends up in prison and though I won’t go in to too many details, I will say that her experiences there change her, at least for a little while.

We’ve all seen the many different faces of Annie that she’s worn as a person and also as a spy; there’s sexy Annie and ass-kicking Annie, as well as snarky Annie and protective Annie, and many more.

The Annie who appears in the prison is one I’ve never seen before. This Annie is quiet and, I hate to say it, perhaps a little broken. Even when things change, she still looks around her for a while as if wondering if it’s all real. In fact, Piper Parabo did such a great job at portraying Annie that way, that I myself wasn’t sure what was real and what wasn’t for a little while.

A few other things I can tell you about this episode are that each act ends in a moment that either made me gasp, cheer or scream “Noooo!!” at my TV screen. Also, the action that starts pretty much from the moment we again join Annie and Lena in that cabin, doesn’t really let up throughout the episode.

Even when it does let up and we get a few quiet moments, they are usually followed by even more intense action. So be prepared for a rollercoaster ride.

I will also say that, based on the descriptions I read of what happens in the last few scenes (which weren’t shot when this episode was made available to the press), I think that Annie’s adventure may be heading in a whole new direction.

Not only that, but I *think* there’s a chance that a very popular character may be making more appearances in the rest of this season. If that’s true then I will be one very happy fan, since I happen to like that character a lot.

Simon is in love! We see that in this episode, as he is willing to kill someone to protect Annie. More about this in a bit…

Joan (Kari Matchett) finally gets on board and decides to support Arthur’s (Peter Gallagher) possible ambassadorship to China. Way to go, Joan. It’s about time you support your husband! It’s only the job he’s always wanted his whole career… no biggie, right?

Auggie (Christopher Gorham) is onto something at work. He asks for Arthur’s permission to rejoin the investigation on Jai’s (Sendhil Ramamurthy) death and of course, Arthur says no. Auggie moves forward anyway, because he thinks there’s someone hiding something. Wouldn’t it be great if Auggie were the one to crack this case?

It's something to watch if you don't have absolutely anything else to watch. But what really bothers me is that Piper really doesn't speak 6 different languages fluently so when she speaks it doesn't flow. And, besides her raunchy Spanish accent its not correct. You never ever refer to someone as 'tu' in Spanish unless they give you permission to do so...you always refer to them as 'usted' and wait for them to ask you to say please refer to me as 'tu'.

I'd be nice if the writers clearly researched the language and proper idiom etiquette. The show is kind of choppy... it's difficult to believe the story line. I'm up to episode #3 and have not been convinced that the CIA actually works this way. The producers chose an actress that is too young and frankly unbelievable in her part.
