Hall), a charismatic blood spatter analyst who works in the forensics at the Miami Metro Police Department. On the outside, Dexter seems like the perfect guy -- he has a sister, Debra (Jennifer Carpenter), that adores him and a steady girlfriend, Rita (Julie Benz), with two kids that look up to him. However, what they don't know is that Dexter moonlights as a serial killer, only he isn't your typical killer. Basing his life on the teachings of his foster father, Dexter only kills people who truly deserve it: he ensures that those who got away with horrible crimes will never kill again. We're starting to see things come together as Deb continues on her tour of Dexter's true nature.

Last night's episode had both of them pursuing a dangerous criminal, and as luck would or wouldn't have it, not only did he fit Dexter's code, but Deb nearly got herself killed following procedure. Point to Dexter's side of the argument. Based on the preview for next Sunday night's "Run," the situation will only continue to escalate.

The Speltzer issue wasn't wrapped up with a neat bow at the end of last night's episode, and that's a good thing (for the show, anyway). While it does seem like we're seeing Deb gently nudged toward understanding and accepting what Dexter is, last night's episode seemed to be almost too perfect an example of the value of his code.

Because, for every nick-of-time bad-guy kill Dexter gets, there are ones he pursues at his leisure, when he isn't racing down the clock to find and destroy a killer. Speltzer escaped at the end of last night's episode, but now there's solid proof of what he's capable of, which is exactly what Dexter needed.

The fact that Deb nearly got herself killed trying to stop the murder was more of a bonus for Dexter's case.

"Dexter" Season 7 hinges on revealing one of Dexter Morgan's deepest and darkest secrets, landing the bloodthirsty vigilante in "dangerous territory."

In a sneak-peek trailer for "Dexter" Season 7 above, which is rife with spoilery scenes, actor James Remar, who plays the father of Dexter (Michael C. Hall), tells fans to be ready for a shift. "Dexter has never been in more dangerous territory," he says. "The tectonic plates of his world are about to shift."

Jennifer Carpenter, who plays Dexter's sister Deb, is in an extremely challenging position in the upcoming season. "This is the season I'm most excited about," she says.

Viewers will see the aftermath of an instantaneous change when the Season 7 premiere kicks off right where Season 6 left off.

Season 6 of the Showtime thriller ended with Deb catching Dexter in the middle of a kill. Not only is his secret out, but it has also been revealed to the one closest to him.

"This is the end of Dexter's secret belonging to him," Hall says in the sneak-peak trailer. "Lila was in on the secret, Rudy, Miguel Prado, Lumen -- but those were characters who, one was or another, left the scene. Deb's his sister and his boss. She's not gonna leave the scene."

Episode titles for "Dexter" Season 7 have already been released and fans can ready themselves for the premiere, "Are You...?" according to IMDb.

In mid-August, Showtime released a trailer teasing the premiere episode and the rest of the riveting season. "My little secret," says Dexter in a haunting voice. "I've dreaded this moment my whole life."

Dexter, over the last few seasons, has finally begin to accept himself for who he is but is there a possibility that he could think someone else could accept him? I don't know that he's ready to deal with that just yet. That will obviously be the drama of the upcoming season."

Dexter, a forensics expert at day, serial killer with a touch of vigilantism at night. Dexter is creating a believable and very detailed portrait of a, lets say troubled, sociopath. One of the parts about the show I like best is the emotions that normal people exhibit, thus forcing Dexter to mimic them.

Good laugh when the emotions Dexter fake get real, and he is scared out of his mind, like in the relationship with his "girlfriend" Rita, mother of two and victim of her abusive ex-boyfriend. Also liked the acting of Jennifer Carpenter as Dexter's sister Debra, adds a nice touch colour to the show, without drifting into clichés.

Thrilling story, many details, and one of the best opening sequences ever.
