Doris McGarrett (guest star Christine Lahti) pays an unexpected visit to her son while the team investigates the death of a polo player who literally loses his head.Download Video Hawaii Five-0 Resentment Episode On ABC Family Tv Online Tv Live Streaming Video. Online Watch Hawaii Five-0 Full Episode Watch Stream HD Video on Internet TV.In an updated remake of the 1968 original series, Detective Steve McGarrett returns home to Oahu to investigate his father's murder and Hawaii's governor convinces him to stay and head up a new team with no rules and no red tape. Detective Danny "Danno" Williams joins the team in order to keep the island safe for his 8-year old daughter. Also joining the team is Chin Ho Kelly who was wrongfully accused of corruption and Chin's cousin Kono who is fresh out of the academy. While running the team, McGarrett also tries to repair his relationship with his estranged sister Mary Ann and continues to look for closure on his father's case.A lot happened in this episode. First up, Steve decided to immediately begin the search for his mom. He may have told her he didn’t want to know where she was, but that was before new clues came out proving that she didn’t take out Wo Fat when she had the chance.
But since Steve was busy on a case, he put Catherine on the job. Fine work she did, too; using her feminine wiles to break into the WITSEC computer and find out that Doris never left Hawaii.
Meanwhile, the team is put on a case that had so many twists and turns, I didn’t know where it was going half the time. It starts out as a robbery, then becomes a kidnapping, and along the way also involved a heist that dated back to Pearl Harbor.
Ed Asner returns as August March and the guys make the mistake of asking him for his help with the case. Turns out he was involved in the whole thing and decided to play one final game with them before he stepped in front of a semi. Luckily they managed to find the girl anyway so good riddance to March.
Finally, we saw Chin still suffering from the loss of Malia but also finding ways to move on. The paddle ceremony was a nice way for him and everyone else to say a final goodbye. After that, we saw him get back to work but without the hatred we saw in him last week.
I guess killing Delano is not something he regrets yet, but I have to wonder if someday it might. In the meantime though, it was great to see the whole team rally around him and offer their support. I could tell that their love was helping him a lot.
My favorite bits..
It was the part when the all took their lei’s off that really got to me. Great opening scene.
“How do you recover from something like that?”
“You don’t. ”
Danny calling for a bullet-proof vest as soon as he heard that Steve had a plan. Looks like Danno’s getting smart after all these years.
Actors: Main 3 are cookie cutter, nearly identical birth years. I like that they're in their 30's and not all 90210 on viewers. Storyline: Definitely an action show, and it's done adequately. Script: Solid. Some cheesy stuff, some wow stuff, some well acted scenes. A few roll your eyes moments, but that keeps in part with the way the original was.
Pros: The script writing. The acting. The actors aren't Hollywood good-looking. But they are a good match with the scripts. Subtle little moments of humour, that you have to see visually and/or hear. Something ha ha will be thrown in there when you least expect it. The building of the characters. You find out little bits here and there and already starting to get a better understanding of how a character is the way he or she is.
Cons: The filming of a fight sequence, taking on the bad guys was terrible. That's not a spoiler. You'd fully expect to see one, seeing as it was in a huge amount of TV commercials. It sucks because you can see the distance between them, when they are at blows with each other. The editing is a shambles, it's so crappy in the action sequences. Could be much better. Hire more qualified people, it's worth it.
