The Gunners have won an impressive 22 of the 26 meetings between the two sides, drawing the other 4.The most recent encounter between these two sides at Ashburton Grove was less than a year ago, in November 2011, where the two sides shared the spoils courtesy of a 1-1 final scoreline in a Premier League match.

The Gunners have slipped to seventh in the Premier League table after losing three of their last five league games and will be keen to address that run on home soil in Saturday's capital derby clash.

They will be heartened by their home record against the Cottagers, who have never won away at Arsenal in any competition, losing 22 and drawing four of 26 visits.

But Martin Jol's men enjoyed a landmark win at Craven Cottage last season when they beat the Gunners 2-1 in their first Premier League success over the North Londoners.

Fulham also head to the Emirates knowing victory will lift them above Arsenal in the standings, with the Cottagers level on 15 points with Wenger's side but a place behind in eighth on goal difference.

Jol's team are unbeaten in four games, having won once in that run, with their last outing at home to Everton ending in a 2-2 draw when Steve Sidwell snatched a last-gasp equaliser.

Arsenal

The Gunners have made their worst start to a Premier League season under Arsene Wenger, eclipsing the previous low of 16 points from 10 games last year.

They are one of two sides yet to score a headed Premier League goal this season, along with Sunderland.

Wenger's side have alternated between defeat and victory in the last five league games, winning twice and losing three times.

The Gunners have conceded just eight league goals, the best record in the division. However, they have only kept one clean sheet in their last 13 league and cup games, and have leaked nine goals in their previous three matches.

Fulham

Martin Jol's side have surrendered 12 points from winning positions this season, the highest tally in the top flight.

Their total of 21 league goals is bettered by only Chelsea (22) and Manchester United (26).

Last season it took the Cottagers until 2 January to score 21 league goals. Coincidentally, they reached that mark courtesy of a 2-1 win against Arsenal.

Opta statistics show they have hit the target with 57% of shots this season, the highest proportion in the Premier League.
