By assuming false identities and utilizing the most advanced technology, this team of highly trained agents goes deep undercover, putting their lives on the line in the field to bring down their targets. Special Agent "G" Callen is a chameleon who transforms himself into whomever he needs to be to infiltrate the criminal underworld. His partner is Special Agent Sam Hanna, a former U.S. Navy SEAL who has seen action in both Afghanistan and Iraq, and a surveillance expert who uses state of the art monitoring equipment to look out for those in the field and feed them crucial information.

Assisting the team is Special Agent Kensi Blye, the exceptionally bright daughter of a slain Marine who lives for the adrenalin rush that comes with undercover work; Operational Psychologist Nate Getz, adept at getting into anybody's head, profiling the target and monitoring agents' states of mind before, during and after missions; Dominic Vail, the most recent addition to the team, is highly qualified but lacking in practical experience and Henrietta "Hetty" Lange who oversees the 'backroom' support staff tasked with providing everything from micro-surveillance cameras to cars.

Armed with the latest in high tech gear and sent regularly into life-threatening situations, this tight-knit unit relies on each other to do what is necessary to protect national interests.

This is kind of dissapointing, since this is only 11 seconds long, but I’ll talk about it anyway.

So at the end of Season 3 of ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’, we saw Callen shoot the Chameleon to death. Not only did we just see that along with some cops nearby and pedestrians. Camera men caught it on camera for it to be streamed on teleivison. So how are you suppose to come back from that? That would be national news.

Not too long ago, the preview to Episode 1 of Season 4, “Endgame”, was released. So what is suppose to happen next? How will things get back to normal at NCIS in Los Angeles?

We hear Granger telling someone that “CIA is looking to shut us down”. Does that mean all of NCIS or just NCIS: Los Angeles? If it’s all of NCIS, which is almost impossible that the CIA would be able to do that since nobody likes them anyways and wants to shut them down, then that would mean we could get another NCIS and LA crossover. But NCIS is having their own problems right now with the bomb and stuff.

“Stay away from Henrietta Lange” Callen says, as we see CIA or some group is approaching Hetty and they have Callen captive. How did he become captive? A man then orders them to kill her as Callen screams “Tell them to wait!” then is smacked in the face with a gun.

As opposed to other reviewers who are sadly so limited they can only conceive of Linda Hunt as an object of derision, I tune in specifically to see her. The show is adequate. I've always liked LL Cool J and it's nice to see Chris O'Donnell again.

(The nerds suck, especially when you consider Abby from the original show.) But it's the presence of Linda Hunt that elevates this show. She's a rich, interesting actor and her character here has a great backstory.

Sure this team could be managed by yet another grizzled actor playing a tough as nails former Navy Seal type, whose life has been touched by tragedy because his wife died of breast cancer or his little girl choked on a marble. I'd rather have Linda Hunt because she is a true original.

I've seen enough shallow cookie cutter actors with impossibly white teeth and ripped abs. Now I want to watch stories about people who are unique and unusual and earthy and human.
